And…we’re off (and paddling….) Our 2025 season has officially begun, with practices Saturday morning and Wednesday evenings.
We are happy to have some new members sitting with us in the boat this season (with hopefully a few more still to officially join).
And after many fun and successful seasons, we say a fond farewell to our coach Brendan Anderson. He has been an inspirational (and patient!) coach. We wish Brendan well with his next steps.
Welcome to our new coaches, Martin and Jasmine. Already we can tell these two will help us expand our skills and push our limits. (We might protest that extra minute paddling at 80 percent but it’s really what we want!)
We are still hoping to recruit a steersperson, so if you’re interested, please contact the team.
February 2025
We’re recruiting paddlers and steerspeople 45+.
Stay fit, learn skills and compete in regattas with our mixed recreational dragon boat team for those aged 45 and up.
We paddle from the UBC Boathouse in Richmond, BC.
Practice times: Saturdays 10am and Wednesday 6pm.
Our new season begins in March 2025.
